I don’t know of an easier way to get more greens into our diets then to enjoy a green smoothie. It’s a really great option for adding greens without cooking that requires minimal time and effort.
This is a recipe I found on SimpleGreenSmoothies, it’s a combination of kale, cranberries, orange, and banana. It’s like a green smoothie for the holidays!
If you haven’t discovered SimpleGreenSmoothies yet, be sure to check them out. They literally cover everything you would ever need to know about green smoothies plus they offer TONS of free green smoothie recipes.
I think this one would make a great breakfast on Thanksgiving morning.

- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of cranberries

- 1 frozen bananas
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until well incorporated. Enjoy!

Hi Dani,
Can u use dried cranberries and if yes-how much? Can’t get fresh cranberries here.thank you
Dani says
I don’t think dried cranberries will work for this. Maybe you can try a different fruit like raspberries or strawberries.

I love this recipe! Made it last year and have been unable to because couldn’t get fresh cranberries. Now that they are available, can’t wait to make again. I don’t have kale in the refridge today, so going to try with spinach. Thanks Dani!
