Dani Spies

Dani Spies is the founder of the Clean & Delicious blog and YouTube channel, and the author of the cookbook Clean & Delicious. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, two teenagers, and Charlieโ€”the worldโ€™s best dog.🐶

As a Health, Eating Psychology, and Weight Loss Coach, Dani believes that healthy eating should be fun, delicious, and completely doable. Her mission is to help you break free from diet culture and discover how nourishing, flavorful food can support a vibrant, healthy lifestyleโ€”without restriction or deprivation.

Credentials & Education

Daniโ€™s work is grounded in both education and personal experience. After earning a B.S. in Psychology from William Paterson University, she went on to study at:

  • The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City, where she became a certified Holistic Health Counselor (HHC).
  • UCLA Extension, where she completed a certification in Human Nutrition and Sport Performance.
  • The Institute for the Psychology of Eating, studying under Marc David, to become a certified Mind Body Eating Coach.
  • The New School of Cooking in Culver City, where she completed the professional cooking series.
  • The Life Coach School, where she trained under Brooke Castillo and became a Certified Life and Weight Loss Coach.

This blend of psychology, nutrition, cooking, and coachingโ€”combined with her own personal journeyโ€”has shaped her unique approach to health and wellness.

Dani’s Story

Like many women, Dani once struggled with diet mentalityโ€”restriction, deprivation, and feeling disconnected from her body. Over time, she learned how to shift from a place of struggle to a place of nourishment, pleasure, and connection. By making small, consistent changes, she dropped the 20 pounds she had been battling for years, reclaimed her love of food and cooking, and has maintained those results for more than 15 years.

Now, at 50, Dani is passionate about setting new strength and fitness goals and continuing to feel strong, vibrant, and healthy with each passing year.
