Sauce & Salsa
Raw Kale and Walnut Pesto

Putting a simple spin on classic pesto is an easy way to give your pesto a seasonal feel. By subbing kale in for traditionally used basil, you end up with earthier, heartier flavors that we tend to lean towards as the cooler weather rolls in.
This my friends, is what I like to call, “Power Food Pesto”!
Simple Summer Raw Tomato Sauce (over Spaghetti Squash)

While 80 degrees has been the SoCal high this past weekend I KNOW that many of you have been dealing with temperatures much hotter!
I also know that no one wants to deal with hot ovens or grills when it’s so hot outside which is exactly why this recipe should have you smiling at your computer right now!
Classic Pesto (just a little lighter!)

This is an updated version of my Pesto recipe. I had a ton of basil in the fridge and wanted to see if I could lighten up my recipe just a little bit more.
By cutting back just a kiss on the oil, cheese, and nuts I was able to make my original recipe even lighter without sacrificing any flavor!
Naturally Sweetened Cranberry Sauce w/ Ginger

Everyone has their Thanksgiving staples that they are simply unwilling to go without.
For some it’s mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, or green bean casserole but for me, it’s definitely cranberry sauce (well that and turkey, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie!).

When my Mom made sauce, she made sauce.
It was always a huge pot and an all day affair.
It was always on Sunday and it will always be a memory that reminds me of my childhood.
Pantry Puttanesca Sauce

This recipe was 100% inspired by the one and only, Miss Katie O’Cuddles (that’s her nickname around here).
Video: How-To Make Tzaziki

I love looking to other cuisines to find “Clean and Delicious” recipe inspiration!
Tzaziki is a Greek inspired sauce (some say dip) that is made from Greek yogurt and cucumbers and it is very simple to make.
Cumin Catfish W/ Orange Avocado Salsa

Definitely not the best photo I’ve ever taken BUT I promise, this meal is REALLY GOOD and REALLY EASY! (not to mention fast and cheap).
