Welcome Jachs (Charlie) Spies (a one-of-a-kind dish!)
He made it!!
Weighing in at 8lbs, 1oz and 21 inches long our newest Spies family member made his big debut on Saturday, May 21st @ 8:30am.
His official name is Joseph Charles Bengston Spies (after his Grandpas and his Daddy) but we’ll be calling him Jachs (pronounced Jacks).
Guess Who’s Gonna Be A Big Sister??

You guessed it. Katie is gonna be a big sister because her Mommy has a brand new bun in the oven!
How To Relax Into Weight Loss
I can’t even begin to tell you how many years I spent STRESSING OUT over losing weight. I knew the ins and outs of fitness, nutrition, and food but still could never seem to come up with the right formula for my body.
It wasn’t until I began to understand that health and nutrition were not only a science but an art as well that I was able to drop my shoulders and begin to relax into the process.

Welcome Katie Spies (my most d’lishes dish yet!)
Ten days late (and well worth the wait) Katie finally decided to join us on June 18th @ 12:31am. She was 6 pounds and 4 ounces measuring in at 19 inches long.
Beng and I couldn’t be more in love and will be taking a little time to get to know our little bundle of joy!
I don’t know an exact time, but I’ll be back with more recipes and videos soon enough;).
Computer Issues and NO Baby Yet!
Sorry that my site had been MIA for the the last few days!! I was having some issues with my server, blah, blah, blah…. BUT I think all the kinks have been worked out, so hopefully we won’t be having any more issues!
As for a baby?! No such luck. Anybody who knows me, knows that my theme in life tends to be “slow and steady”. I’m officially eight days past my due date and beginning to think that this little lady is gonna be a lot like her Mom:).
Now I gotta go and post a new recipe for you guys!
