realistic recipes for a nutritious kitchen

New Features: Recipe Box, Shopping Lists, & Lots of Share Buttons

I’m excited to tell you that we’ve made a few updates here at Clean & Delicious® and I’m really excited to share them with you guys!

Here’s what’s going on around here…

For starters, we recently partnered with a company called ZipList.  ZipList is a FREE online recipe box that allows you to save your favorite recipes from all over the web into your very own personal recipe box.

Anytime you see the ‘add to recipe box’; whether here at Clean&Delicious® or on thousands of other cooking sites including Simply Recipes, SkinnyTaste, Martha Stewart, & Kalyn’s Kitchen all you have to do is click and voila you’re recipes are saved all in one place.

Not only can you save your recipes, you can also create weekly menus, generate shopping lists, and even receive coupons for the items on your list.

You can access ZipList via their free mobile apps or on their website any time you want.

Here’s how it works:

If you want to save a recipe, simply click the “Add To Recipe Box’ which you will find in the top right hand corner of the recipe card (right next to the print button).

If you don’t already have an account with ZipList you will be prompted to create one. Once logged in, you can begin to add recipes to your recipe box from Clean & Delicious® or any site using ZipList. At anytime, if you want to check what recipes are in your recipe box, just click on the “Recipe Box” link in the red navigation bar at the top of the site.

Creating Shopping Lists are easy peasy as well.

Just click on the “Add to shopping list” link next to the recipe ingredients on a recipe page. From here select which of the ingredients you want to keep on your list, and which ones you don’t. The shopping list will compile the ingredients from all of the recipes you’ve selected to add to the shopping list.

Pretty Cool?  Right?  I’m hoping this will help you guys with meal planning and getting all those delicious, healthy meals on the table;).

A few other changes you may notice

I added a Pinterest button to my site along with FaceBook and Twitter buttons.

Sharing videos and recipes that you like on any of these social networking sites is so great because it really helps me to grow my website and reach more people so please feel free to share away!

And lastly, I removed Food for Thought and KidBites from the top navigation bar.  That top bar is suppose to highlight what the site focuses on and since I rarely ever post in either of these categories, I thought it was due time to take them down.

You can still find them on the site; I’m just not drawing as much attention to them right now.

I think that covers everything.  If you guys have any feedback or questions

I hope you like the added features and I’ll see you soon with a new recipe video!! xo

I was wondering – if a sight doesn’t have ziplist can you still add recipes at all to the recipe box?

Kathy – I just sent the question to the awesome support team over at ZipList and here was the response:

You can pull recipes from a non-ZipList site with the ZipList Recipe Clipper. You and your reader can read more here! It doesn’t always work perfectly, but it’s pretty good.

      So that’s a yes;)

Your baby is adorable! My great-granddaughter was 1-year old on May 8th.

Thanks for partnering with Ziplist. It will make saving your recipes a LOT simpler.

I miss the KidBites! My son is almost 11 months and I need more inspiration on how to feed him happy, healthy foods that will appeal to him. (By the way, Jachs is ADORABLE!)
