Ask Dani -Protein Powder, Serving Sizes, & Grass Fed Beef (Video)

I’ve decided to answer the “Ask Dani’s” in video format.  It’s faster, easier, and in my opinion – more efficient.

Here are the links I mentioned in the video:

  • RonisWeigh -If you have never visited Roni be sure to check her out.  She is inspires so many people (including myself).
  • Formula for Daily Protein needs:  Ideal body weight in kilograms x .8
NOTE: You first need to divide the pounds by 2.2 in order to come up with your weight in kilograms. Here is how a 135lb woman would calculate her protein intake:
135/2.2 = 61kg
61 x .8 = 48.8 grams of protein per day.  Use this formula as a guide, NOT as a law, and remember that if you do a lot of strength training you may want to bump .8 to 1gram or so.
  • EatWild – “your source for safe, healthy, natural, and nutritious grass-fed beef, lamb, goat, bison, poultry, pork, dairy and other wild edibles.”

Thanks for answering my question! I browsed that website too, this is definitely great information. I just realized that we have a farmers market in my area once a week, I think I’ll have to do some browsing this weekend.

Thanks for your video! I have a nearby store that sells organic beef and another that sells grassfed beef. Which is better?

    Thanks!

I’m pretty sure gras fed always means organic. I would go with grass fed!

    Hey Dani!
I’ve been on a clean eating journey for about 6 months and I love your videos! Through my experience, the thought of making a switch to a vegetarian or vegan clean eating lifestyle has come up more than once. Have you ever gone meat-free? Do you have any advice on staying clean while eliminating animal products?
    Thanks!
    Leah
